May 31st, 2011: Women Of Steel Triathlon in American Fork

My tri was so much fun. I did good for my first time. I trained very well for it so that made it fun and not super hard. It still was a challenge though. I was able to walk after which i wasn't sure if i was going to be able to. I finished in 1 hour and 35 mins. Around 7 min swim, 50 min bike, and 28 min run. Swim was 350, bike was 12 miles, and the run was a 5k. I had a blast. The whole neighborhood was out smiling and cheering us on. It was a great feeling. It had been raining the whole week, non-stop and that morning was great. Pretty blue skies. Not too hot, not too cold. My pics are on facebook if you want to see them. I dont have them on this computer. I so want to do a more challenging one. After i went out to lunch with my girl friends. Shannon, Jessica, and Amanda. We ate at Zupas, very good!

Funny story is that the towel was the swan you see a couple of pics down but we ruined it and it turned into a animals head. Random, i know. So i told norris to put it over his head. I think it looks so funny. He looks like a demon or a scary ox or something.

Norris got a gun from his dad and he is taking great care for it. He cleaned it all up and took it to the shop to get fixed.

We were so lucky that both evens were on the same weekend and we were able to go. To much fun. Brit and Ben got married. So awesome to have everyone in the temple. So cool with such a large family. The day was great. We ate, ate, and ate some more. We also took a big family pic and hung out with everyone. Brit looked very pretty and happy on her wedding day. That morning before the temple Brianna, Vanessa, Janet, and I went on a 6.5 mile run. It was great. Then the next day, Sunday. We all meet at the church for Lucy's blessing. There was a lots of men in the circle but that just made me really happy that their were so many worth men to participate. We went to Big Norris and Tori's house after for a lunch. Yummy food of course. We had to leave soon after to travel back to Utah. My brother and dad came so i could see them. So fun.

June 14th -Flag Day and Brenna's B-day

My b-day was lots of fun. I feel like i celebrated it 10 times. We went home to cali the weekend before my b-day and i told norris all i wanted to do for my b-day is go to the beach and get in-&-out. So that is what we did. We loaded up the car with all of Norris' sisters and their kids, plus blake, chase, jacque, and little luke. We went to Ventura and it was pretty cold but still fun. The kids loved it and Norris and Blake made a huge hole for the kids to play in. In-&-Out was very good. I didn't have a straw for my shake though, bummer. I dont like drinking a shake without a straw, not fun. It was chase's b-day that day, June 10th. Lots of b-day in June. Then saturday while all the wedding events are going on Norris and i are able to sneak away for a little and meet my dad at the Verizon store. Norris' got me the i-phone. Well he didn't really but my b-day money did:) He did sacrifice the upgrade for me instead of him getting it. So nice. That is a huge deal for Norris b/c he has wanted the iphone since i meet him. Well the next thing u know sunday morning rolls around and everyone comes over for breakfast and sings to me. Janet made yummy french toast and norris stuck a candle in it. hahaha. Then the day before my b-day we had a BBQ with out friends and sang again with cake. We, us girls, watched the bachelorette after. Fun night. Then my real b-day comes. I have classes most of the day but i did get to go on a run with my friend and then norris made me an awesome dinner and we saw the new pirates movie. pretty good. So yeah that was all of my b-day celebrations. June 14th is Flag Day and my grandma Varney would tell me when i was younger that all the flags put out were for my b-day:) so cute.

Over memorial day weekend we when up to the Bergners house to hang out with them and Brett and Brianna. It was tons of fun. Lots of eating, hanging out, playing with the kids, and a fun day at the race track. We enjoyed spending time with them:)

FINALLY SUNNY:) yes we have had at least a week of full sun. So nice. Now let the fun summer activities begin. Well i have a lot of events to blog about. I have our cruise, my triathlon, my b-day, a wedding, a baby blessing, and the Ragnar race. Well whats happening right now is that norris and i are in school. I am taking 2 classes and i am doing internship. He is taking 1 class and doing his internship too. We are also working on top of that. We might be a little busy this semester. Norris is on a coed softball team with me, a football team, and ultimate frisbee. Fun Fun right? well i am doing my internship at utah weight loss retreat. It's a "fat camp" basically. I am not a certified trainer YET so i cant do everything i want but it is a great introduction into the field i want to go into. I go along with everything they do, which is learn how to eat healthy and work out every couple of hours. I am pretty excited. Norris is doing his intern at BYU and working with the different maintains department. Roofing, AC, and grounds. (I think). We are looking forward to fun adventure this summer. I am taking this class where two times a week you do adventurous things like, hiking, biking, Canoeing, sailing, and kayaking. I am looking forward to that class the most. Norris would join but he has work at that time.

Not a Lot of Time!

I dont have lots of times on my hands these days but i am defiantly in the mood to blog. I need to get out some feelings. Where do i begin. I am taking Spring classes at BYU and they are hard. I love the Spring Term though because it is short, to the point, and not crowded. I have one on one time with the teacher and can ask questions. During Fall and Winter they are just to many people EVERYWHERE and in the classes. I am taking Sports Nutrition, which is really hard. I am taking Exercise Physiology and a Lab with it. It is fun to learn just very time consuming.

I am looking for an internship with a few companies right now. I had an interview yesterday and one tom. Hope one of them hirers me on for the Summer. I am very tried these days and i do know why. Not b/c i am prego but because my triathlon in on Saturday and i have been pushing myself like crazy to be prepare. I feel like i am but i just want to make sure so i have been working my body really hard the last week or so and i am feeling it for sure. My neck muscles HATE me right now (swimming does that to me) and every other day too. That is why i think i get some many headache and b/c of stress from school. I have had headache every other day for a week now. NOT FUN!!! I am not working all that much right now which stresses me out b/c i always work. I am just to busy with school and training. Good thing Norris is working full time right now. Hopefully soon i can work more.

The weather here SUCKS. I hate Utah for this reason. From Fall to Winter happens in like a week and from Winter to Spring it just takes way too long. And from Spring to Summer TAKES FOREVER. It rains for three days then its sunny the next. And on those sunny days you get a random strom that comes through. Then its repeats itself. WHY OH WHY cant it just be sunny. :( I miss cali.

Well i am pretty nervous for Saturday b/c it is my first time doing a triathlon and i am not sure what to expect. I am not sure how my transition times will go and how long they will take me. I am not sure how i feel about being wet riding my bike for 12 miles. So hopeful i like it and enjoy myself Saturday. Wish me luck!!!!

Lately

Well, last week my mom and dad came to stay with Norris and I for the whole week. They had their spring break. It was fun having them here. Sunday was conference and we hung out with the Hardings and ate home made pizza by the famous, Kathy Harding. Serena Blair and Amanda (my cousin) came. Monday was not all that exciting b/c i was at school all day but Norris and I did caught up on America Idol, poor PIA:( Tuesday, i was free until 4 because i had to go into work. So my parents and i went to see Jessica Harding's baby at he hospital. She had just had her baby that morning:) So fun. Wed was school and then i had a basketball game later that night. We won:) Serena and i are on a basketball intramurals team. We are in the middle division and in the tournament and doing pretty well. Tonight is the Championship game. Wish us luck. Well it was fun to have my parents their last week to cheer us on. Thursday we shopped and made a trip to Walmart. The weather was not in our favor by the way, lots of rain/snow (for the rest of the week). Friday i worked during the day and then at night i had another b-ball game and we won at the last second, VERY EXCITING. After my game we went to the movies and got frozen yogurt after. Saturday i had the day off of work:) My mom and i did lots of running around to different stores for different things. My mom sewed like all of the stuff i needed fix, it was awesome. I know i really should know how to sew but i dont. Then we took my cousin out to eat for her birthday and after we walked along the mall. We rented some movies during the week and watch them. We saw Tangled (so stinking cute) and another movie called How Do You Know with Reese Witherspoon (So DUMB) Do not waste ur time or money! Sunday my parents headed back home. It was fun to spend one on one time with them and have them all to myself for a week. Thanks mom and dad for coming up. My mom has all the pictures on her camera and i didnt get them so i only have one picture from the whole week, sorry!

Well tonight is my championship game so wish me luck. I am excited:)
