Just Another Update

Life right now seems to involve a lot of basketball. Let see, Monday morning Norris, some friends, and I practiced basketball at the church. Tuesday night Norris had a game (City League) which they won, Wednesday Norris had another game (intramurals) which they lost, Thursday night I practiced with my girls team. So lots of basketball this week. If you don't know what intramurals is, its sports run by BYU.

Norris has a good team put together for intramurals and for his city league, mostly the same guys. I am on my best friends, Serena's team again for intramurals. Last year I was on her team and we won the middle division championship. This year we are in the upper divsion. We have been practicing together and going over some plays so hopefully we are ready for the upper division. Tuesday is our first official game and we are hoping we do good.

School is going ok. I have not fully gotten into doing most of my homework yet but soon i will. I have some tests that are creeping up on me so ill have to buckle down for those. I have a fun class that i am taking right now. It's weight:) I really like it. We are starting off slow but i am always still sore the next day. Cant wait to see what happens when we pick up the pace, not!!! But i am glad i get to strengthen my muscles. I have been going to spin/cycling class at the guy twice a week. I LOVE spin, its is so fun and a great work out. I go to this one instructor and she is great. Always plays great music and we switch it up all the time. We work lots of different muscle in her class. She pushes us hard too!

Something weird: I have this bump on my left wrist. I notice it at the beginning of this week. Its a hard little bump that hurts. I am not sure what it is. If i use my left wrist to hold anything that is somewhat heavy then it hurts really bad. Each day it seem to hurt a little more. I massage it to make it feel better. I hope it goes away.

So part of my new years goals for 2011 is to be sugar free like i did last year for 5 months with one sugar day a week. I have been very successful for about 3 weeks now and I have only had one official sugar day so far:) I thought i would need to ease my way back into it b/c over Christmas i was having desserts every day. I though i would need email support like last time to prove myself but i am doing it all by myself. It hasn't been easy let me tell you. Example A: We went over the Norris' step sister house, Trina's, to watch a movie and she had made brownies for us. The minute i walked in the house i could smell then. Oh My Goodness, they smelt so good. I had told myself before we went over there i was not going to have any sugar so i brought my healthy popcorn with me:) Everyone eat brownies, except for Trina and I ate my popcorn. So Proud of myself b/c those brownies smelt AMAZING. My mouth was salivating the minute i walked through the door. It is nice to feel in control of my wants. I feel bad for those people that dont have control and are huge b/c of it. No offense to anyone but it is all about being in control of your body. That is what Heavenly Father wants us to do with our bodies treat it right and have control over our desires.

School

School started today for me and it went ok. I liked my first class but the other two classes stressed me out. I am ready for an easy semester but it does not look like that is going to be the case and i have only gone to 3 out of my 6 classes. I hope the others are not as bad.

The first day is alway a little nerve raking. New people, new teachers, new room, new material, new ways of doing homework, assignment, and test!!! You never know where to sit. Not to close to the front or the back, you might be stuck in that seat for the whole semester so pick wisely. Most teachers dont assign seating but of course when i sat two seat away from this old man (B/c i liked the seat) i am stuck their, right next to him for the whole semester, with smelly breath and all (Gross). He was the only old man in the class to top it off. Why did i choose that seat?

Anyway, I know i will be fine but the first day the teacher goes over everything that needs to be done throughout the whole semester and its overwhelming. Glad my first day back is over with and i was able to cook some yummy dinner and watch Modern Family with my hubby and good friends.

Monday was a great day. I got to sleep in with my hubby and spend the day with him (ALL day). This like hardly ever happens. We got up, ate, and headed to the BYU bookstore to buy our new books for the semester. Then we went to the DI to drop off stuff we had cleaned out of the office. Next we helped our neighbors, dropped of rent, drove to SLC to pick up a great bookshelf for cheap, eat at Del Taco, got a new phone for me, came home and Norris taught me how to use it, and watched The Bachelor.

I love my new phone. It was crazy b/c a water bottle spilled all over my purse in the morning on the way to the bookstore and got EVERYTHING wet, included my phone. It didn't turn on of course. So i went the day letting it dry out and it still was acting crazy so we went into the Verizon store and got a new phone. I love my new phone. It has so many cool things on it, like the internet. I can check my emails from anywhere:)

Monday was filled with blessings as well.

Blessing #1: I just so happen to have an upgrade on my Verizon account that was active the day before. Crazy, huh! I had no idea. I though i had like 4 months to go.

Blessing #2: We had a friend that works for Verizon that got us a great deal and case for the phone (saving us $ b/c we were not planning on paying for a new phone any time soon).

Blessing #3: Everyone was really quick to get a hold of when we needed them, which like never happens.

Blessing #4: We got some free school supplies from the lady that we bought the bookshelf from. I was going to buy some of the things she gave us when i was at the bookstore but i decided not too. Good thing, right?

Blessing #5: Bookshelf, i have been wanting a bookshelf in the office for 5 months now. I checked online every once in a while but nothing good for a good price. We found one on Sunday night and got a hold of the lady monday afternoon and bought the bookshelf for $50 and it is way nice and solid, like we wanted.

Blessing #6: When at the DI our neighbors, which our older, were there and i wanted to say hi, Norris didn't really want to but i felt like we really should. We walked by a couple times hesitating then finally we went to say hi. Turned out they were buying two couch chairs and need help getting it home. We were able to deliver it for them.

Such a great day so i though i would share. Till next time.

New Year

Glad it is a new year. This year is going to be exciting. We hope to go lots of fun things this year. 2010 was a good one but i am always good for moving on. We had a great Christmas in California and spending time with family. Don't really have pictures to update, sorry. This last week Norris and I have been working a lot. Norris' dad and Tori were in town so Norris hung out with Big Norris while i worked at night and i would clean during the day while Norris was at work. We did have Thursday night to spend together, which was fun. Norris, Big Norris, and I went and saw the movie True Grit. It was good. The apartment is finally coming together and looks pretty good. It was a real disaster when we got home a week ago from California.
Well one last day of freedom till school starts. I am not sure how i want to spend it. I probably will be doing more cleaning and last minute things to get ready for the semester! Happy New Year!

Parent/Child LOVE

I thought this picture was funny so i put it up here.

Alright so I didnt update last week or the one before that. Sorry! Thanksgiving was great! We enjoyed ever minute away from responsibility. We saw some movies, played card games, ate lots, played B-ball, Flag Football, Ping-Pong, and played laser lag! It was fun to see all my cousins and relatives.

Last week I took my LAB final for Anatomy, which took up my whole week with studying. 17 hours of studying for it and i am very satisfied with my grade! i got a 89% :):):) The class average out of 800 hundred students was a 77%. I am very proud and my hard work paid off. I still have to take the Lecture final for anatomy next week then it will finally be over. Something i learned last week in anatomy was that over 90% of men over 80 suffer from Prostate Disorders, that is a high percentage. I learned about reproduction. I also learned that the women's body is pretty much made for bearing children. It is crazy and amazing. I did not realize that we are just made to have children. Physically the women's body each month thinks its pregnant and prepares itself. I thank my Heavenly Father for such a great responsibility and blessing. When the time is right we (Norris and I) will use that gift.

Well, last night we went to see the Christmas lights on Temple Square with our friends. We went out to eat with them before and hangout after. The boys went hot tubbing while the girls stay in the warm apartment drinking hot coco. Then we all played Times-Up very fun, but i am not very good at it!

We also decorated our apartment. It is very cute (i think) and different them last year. We do not have a tree. No where to put one and we are gone the week of Christmas anyway. Can't wait for the year we do get a real tree and decorate it with our own decorations. Pictures to come!

School is coming to an end and i am excited about it but a little nervous about next semester to start because i am taking 5 classes (the most i have ever taken at once). I did well this semester but i worked my butt off. If the next semester is another really hard one i think i will become burnt out very quickly. I know i can do it though. Till next time!

YEAH for Norris' B-Day

So i am still trying to figure this thing out. We are excited for Thanksgiving next week! Norris and i love basketball. We play, watch, and practice b-ball lots, especially this week. It fun to share something you really like with ur hubby. The other night be practiced at the church and i taught him how to do a REAL left handed lay-up and he said, "wow, i never really knew how to do a real left handed lay-up before." It made me feel really good to teach him something.
I have decided that i will blog once a week ab my good Anatomy lectures and share the fun things i learn. Some of it is interesting and some is gross but its all about the body, which God created! This pass tuesday we learned about the abdominal cavity and how people eat there hair and can really get hair balls stuck in there stomach, small intestines, or large intestines. So gross, my teacher showed us pic. So lesson: dont eat ur hair or let ur babies/ kids eat their hair either!!!
Norris b-day was this week and it was fun. Family dinner saturday night with pizza and sunday night party with friends and more pizza (homemade that time)!!! He got new shoes (brown vans), a jacket, a shirt, b-ball short, b-ball socks, and spent Saturday day with his DADDY! (SO CUTE)
Well till next time. I have figured out that i really like having things planned out, it makes me feel in control of my life and set!!! Till next time! Oh yeah dont judge me on spelling or grammer errors! It's time for bed!

The Big 25!!!
