BABY TATE

So its been a while but i have been a little busy. I had baby Tate on Oct 1st at 9:40AM. He was 20 inch long and weighed 6 lb 7 oz. Tiny little guy. I will talk about delivery later but for now I want to write about how cute and big Tate is getting. Tate is 7 weeks old this coming Monday. He is a little easier to handle now that he is bigger. It was hard to feed him and burp him b/c he was just so tiny and fragile. Now he is stronger and easier to handle. He has smiled a couple of times but nothing really consistent. He loves loves loves to look at his dad. He stares at him all the time and as for me I can hardly get Tate's attention. He has a couple of different cries that make Norris and i laugh. He has the pouter cry, the ticked off cry, and the complaining cry. The pouter cry is like when you arent paying attention to him and he is board. The ticked off cry is when he is in his car-seat and wants out or has a tummy ache. And the complaining cry is when I take him away from feeding to burp him and its like a high pitched cry. Haha
He has so much personality already, its crazy. He hates to be cold. He doesnt like me putting on lotion, diaper changes, being naked or uncovered, cold hands, being wet all b/c these things consist of him being cold. He does love warm baths and just sit there content. He loves being swaddled with one arm in and one arm out. He loves to snuggle snuggle snuggle and sleeping on mom and dad. He loves to have his hand by his face and when he sleeps he covers his face. He loves when we are moving him around. He gets board easily so he loves his bouncer chair, swing, or anyone rocking him. He kicks his feet on my stomach when i bounce him and it is the cutest thing ever.
He sleeps good at night, normally feeds at 11pm, 2 am, and 5am. I know those aren't good long hours stretches but at least he goes back to sleep after feeding most of the time. That is more then i can say for the day. Tate is up lots during the day and doesnt sleep as good or long. He eats every three hours during the day but he is up for a good while and takes little naps here and there. We play and try to keep his busy so he doesnt cry. I dont really get much done during the day especially if he dosent sleep good. Ill have time to go to the bathroom, wash my face and change and then he is crying again needing his mom.

Here are some New Born pictures:

See what I am talking about. Tate LOVES looking at this dad :) So precious

So tiny and new to the world. Sent straight from heaven!

I love my Tate!!! I love to snuggle him, I let him sleep on me all the time and I give his tons of kisses. He is just the cutest little boy ever.

Really 37 Weeks & Baby Shower

So NOW I am 37 weeks

Problems/ Issues: Nothing new

Doctors: Went good on Friday. Blood pressure 108/56, Pulse: 78, Weight: not saying but less then a half a pound a week now. Pee test was good too. Baby is still head down and belly is measuring right. Babies heart rate was also good. I am so thankful for my health and the health of my baby. Every time I have gone to the Doctors everything has gone great, no issue. No bleeding, no real cramps, no contractions. I am very lucky.

Movements: Two words: Crazy Baby! This week I have gotten rocked from him a couple nights/days. He is back in action especially from his little break he had last week.

Food: Nothing new

Exercise: Um.... cant really do a sit up anymore! Well, we all knew it was bound to happen. Still able to attend my classes though.

Thoughts: I think with each passing day....when is this going to happen? I what it to happen sooner than later but I know I have to be patient and he will probably be late. Still wearing the ring and toe rings too:) I slept better this week for some reason which I am grateful for. I love my sleep:)

Baby Shower:
So Norris Sisters and Family helped with my baby shower. It was at Norris' Dad's house in his backyard. It was decorated so cute. I walked into the back and thought wow this is all for me, how nice! On the tables were printed pictures from my maternity shoot, which I hadn't even seen yet. They were great. My friends and family started showing up and then we started to eat. The food was really good. I loved the chicken sandwiches and Tori's lemonade drink. After the guest filled out a questionnaire game and guessed how round my belly is with string. Vanessa (Norris' sister) was the closest on measuring the size of my belly with the string:) The questionnaire game was fun too b/c it made me really think of what I would want our baby to look and who to be like. Then we played this fun matching game with candy bars. It was very cleaver. They passed around some treats and the cake balls were so darn good. Next came presents and pictures. Then it was time to end the party. I was so glad to see all my friend and family come out and support Norris and I and our new adventure of this baby. We are grateful for everyones love and gifts. Thanks for the wonderful shower.

Sugar Free

So I am trying to be sugar free till Halloween with Vanessa, Sierra, and Janet! Anyone can join! I was great last week. I lasted all week, which is pretty impressive cause I just jumped right into it. Yesterday came and my mom made her orange rolls with her dinner and they have sugar in them. I seriously could not resist. I caved and had some and then made brownies for everyone after that. I am back on track for this week and I am going to try to not cave. I am ok with free/ mess up days. I get three. So I only have 2 left. Confession, this morning Brittany and Duran had cake testing at the house for their wedding and they wanted me to try so I did. I dont think that should count against me:) I did it for Brittany and Duran. Anyway here is to sugar free:) yea!

Fun Weekend!

This weekend we went down to Brett and Brianna's house to visit before this baby comes. We left Friday night late so we wouldn't hit traffic. We picked up my rocking chair and set it up before we left and it fits perfect:) We eat, packed, and left. The drive was good and it was so fun seeing the Bergener's. We watched a show with Brett and Brianna and stayed up late. The next morning we eat yummy pancakes that Brianna made and headed to the beach. It was beautiful down there. We LOVE the beach. Norris jumped right into the water with Nixon and boogie boarded for a while. Brianna and I read the books we brought and Rossi and Corbin were playing in the sand. Brett was in the water too. It was fun. We also played freebie and then after I watched the boys (Nixon, Norris, and Brett) body surf. I wanted to get in the water and do it too but I knew that wasn’t the best idea with a baby in ur tummy and the waves crashing on you. The water was really not that cold and I just stood in knee deep for a while. We left the beautiful beach and got take out. We order some good food and watched some documentaries on crocodiles and sharks. After we headed to the pool. The boys are so good at swimming. Next came showers, grilling, and eating really good hotdogs. Norris was pretty wasted from spending most of the day in the ocean and getting sunburned so we spent the night again and left the next morning. We got home in an hour, which is great timing, and got ready for church. It was fun to see the Bergener's and hang with there fun kids.

37 Weeks, Wait 36 Weeks!!!

So I went to the doctors and she finally put it together that I am 36 week and not 37 Weeks. I explain in the doctors section of my post. I am feeling it a little more now then before. I think I have officially started the pregnancy waddle, especially if I am tired, sore, or have to pee. I will update picture from the baby shower when I get the pictures!

Problems/ Issues: squished from the inside. This week I have felt more and more like I was being suffocated from the inside. I feel him up higher and feel like I cant breath. It is not all the time just here and there but its like the first time I have really felt that. When it hits I take shorter breaths and feel the urge to rip off my shirt so I can breath better. Haha I have felt a tiny bit crampy this week and some hip/ pelvic pain but not bad. Rib still hurts at least once a day but not as bad as the other weeks. Oh bending over is getting pretty hard along with shaving my legs. Yeah forget painting my toes:( I went to a yoga class the other day and man it was hard when we did a standing forward fold. Bending over like that was hard. I made sure I bent my knee to make it a little easier. I am putting on my sock sideways now and starting to second guessing picking up certain things off the ground. Haha so I have noticed that its really hard to concentrate. I cant think to much about something or else I feel like my brain is going to explode and I give up, haha I am glad I am done with school and that I dont have to think too hard these days.

Doctors: So the doctors went good. She checked to see if he was head down and he is. She answered my questions and changed my due date. I brought it to her attention that the first ultrasound measurements calculated the due date on Oct 3rd. So they changed it to that, instead of going off my last menstral cycle. That way it decreases the chances of being induced. With Kasier, they won't let u go 7 days past ur due date. This way the baby has more time, if he isn't ready to come out. Next week she will check for dilation and such. I have been telling each new doctor I would see and even the nurses that I am pretty sure I am a week later then they were telling me. No one of them really care enough to double check and really look at the first ultrasound meausrements. According to the very first ultrasound and the 20 week ultrasound (where they check all the measurements) I was measureing smaller then they thought. This doctor finally figured it out and said oh yeah it is. She said yeah I will change ur due date. I normally wont really care too much but b/c of the rule about being induced I care. I want this baby to come when HE is ready!

Movements: The baby ( I feel ) has gotten bigger this week and therefore is moving but not as crazy. The movements are slower and more powerful, if that make sense. I feel him very low and high all at the same time. At night I wake up in pain b/c he is lodged up super high and its hurts. I just get up and go the pee, make a little more room for him and he sinks back down:)

Food: I thought I would be more crazy with food while prego but I guess not! Its not that bad, they are somethings that I just dont want to eat and dont. I dont really have cravings that much. I am sad that I havent hated sugar or sweets while being prego, that would have been awesome.

Exercise: Still able to do a crunch or two:) This makes me very happy! I love exercising and I am so grateful I still can and move pretty good. I did a Boot Camp class the other day and the ladies in the class thought I was crazy but really its not that hard and if I get tired I just modify. People dont realize that all you have to do is read your body and how you feel and MODIFY. You dont have to stop and leave the class or not show up b/c its too hard just do what you can and make up the rest:) If what they are doing is too hard for you do something that you can handle. For example, jumping up and down for the most part is just uncomfortable for me so I dont do it. When the class jumps up and down I just go side to side. Its better for decreasing impact on the joints.

Thoughts: Still wearing my wedding ring:) So annoyed though b/c I found a stretch mark or two but not on my belly:( very sad day!  Baby shower was last Saturday and it was very nice and fun. We got lots of good stuff and we rearranged the rooms around to get everything set up for the babies arrival. We feel ready now. Got the car seat, stroller, crib and bedding all set up, along with the changing table and his baby clothes washes and put in the dresser. Oh yeah and Buy Buy Baby called today and said my rocking/swivel chair is ready for pick up. It came early. They said it takes anywhere from 6 to 10 weeks to have made. I was nervous that it wasn't going to come in time. Next week would have been the 6 week mark, so I am pretty excited to go pick it up and see how it fits in our room. Still need a baby monitor and a bobby. Norris wants a video monitor so we might get that depending on funds. I dont really care to much if its a video monitor or not as long as it works. Well sleep is hard some nights but not all nights. If I am super tired I sleep great but if not then I am up at least one to three times throughout the night. Thats a lot for me. I always have been a great sleeper and would never really wake up at night and I could sleep in too. I know this is probably preparing my body for what is to come (the baby crying throughout the night).

Hospital Tour: Last week Norris and I toured the hospital and it was great. My really good friend, Shannon's mom is a labor and delivery nurse at the hospital we are going to deliver at. She also does the tours down there so she offered to do a private tour for us:) So awesome! It was a nice quit night and she took her time and we got to ask all our silly questions. It was so nice of her to do that. The labor area of the hospital is very nice and the delivery room was HUGE! I was shocked. I am so grateful for great health insurance and I know the baby and I will be taken great care of. I did freak out a little when she told us there were women delivering right then as we would walking down the hall. All the nurses and doctors seemed very calm and like nothing was going on. It was one of those moments that I realized ok wow this baby really does have to come out of ME and the time is getting closer. I always hear other peoples stories of labor but its almost time for my own story and experience. Really eye opening! I calmed down again until she showed us the c-section area and I freak again. I think its so scary to me b/c you NEVER know whats going to happen. Its so unpredictable and I am a planner so its hard to think about. I know I will be praying a ton while in labor:) Well the tour ended and its was really good to go and see what we are up against.

Sneak Peak of some pics from the maternity shoot

Super excited about our BOB stroller and Britax carseat!

Here is the baby room so far! Its still a work in progress but now its set up for the little one to live. We just need to make it all cute and decorate:)

Vacations

Went on a couple of trips in the last month and it was fun.

Grand Canyon Trip for Norris:
He went to the Grand Canyon with his dad and sister and people in his dads ward. He was gone for three days and he had lots of fun. I was so so sad I couldn't go but maybe next year when I am not 8 month pregnant.

Mammoth Trip with our friends:
We went to Mammoth for 5 days and stayed up in Norris Gma condo and it was so nice. We meet Shannon and Kyle up there. My mom came to hang and watch baby Jaden when Shannon, Kyle, Norris and I did some adventure stuff that wasn't conducive to a baby. We had lots of fun. We were able to relax, make dinner, sleep in, go on hikes, bike, and go out on the lake. One day we went on a hike around a lake up there and it was so beautiful. Another day we went to Mary lake rented some paddle boards and when out for two hours and then had lunch next to the lake. That was the most fun thing. It was everyone's first time and we all enjoyed it. We made this big raft at one point by putting all four paddle boards next to each other and flowed towards shore. On of the other days we just relaxed and went on a walk. Another day we went on a bike ride down a fun paved path. The boys did a dirt trail on time and the girls walked around the shopping area. And the very last day we woke up super early and did Rainbow Falls and it was pretty. It was a great fun hike. So glad we started early else we would have died from the heat. After the hike we went to The Stove ( a good breakfast place) and eat some yummy food. Over all it was a great trip.

Utah, Education Week with my mom and Janet (my mother-in-law):
I was really lucky that I had the time and opportunity to go and listen to great speaker all week teach different life lessons learned. Also to gain more knowledge. They have all types of classes like spiritual, nutrition, financial, and historical. It was great. We didn't go to classes all day but about 5 or so and then we took break shopping and eating. Glad I got to go. I really did learn a lot. The drive to Utah there and back wasn't that bad either. I thought since being 34 weeks it was going to be hard but not to bad.

Picture are to come!!

35 Weeks

So I am 35 weeks this week and I am getting more and more excited to meet this little guy. Things and slowing coming along and we are getting things ready here and there.

Problems: Right RIB! That's it. It hurts like 3/4 of the day most days. Some days its more painful than others. Also it starts hurting in my back every couple of days around the same area in the front. I don't feel like my lungs are quite squished yet but ribs do.

Doctors: Had a check up this week and I met a good Doctor that I am going to be seeing from now on cause they scheduled me with her from now on. She is Dr. Fung. She is nice and answered all my questions and wasn't in a rush, which is always nice. I have to go in every week now till the baby comes. I am glad the doctors office is close by:)

Movements: Baby is so fun that watch and feel. He is a character in there. I have a better idea of where the baby is at and what is what b/c we did an ultrasound about two weeks ago and the doctor could tell where things were and told us. I know the baby rotates and move a lot still but I feel I can still tell which side he has shifted. He is head down and his spine/ back is right along my right front side of my belly button, if that makes sense. On the left side he has a knee and a heal that pops out all the time. Some days he will rotate side and kick on the right side but mainly he likes the left side for kicking. His hands I believe are down low and when he moves them I feel it in my lower lower part of the uterus, it could be his head too. I can defiantly feel the pressure of his head when he stretches sometimes. He get the hiccups a lot more than he use to, at least once maybe even twice a day. The hiccups are always low which is a good indicator that he is still head down. Hoping this baby stays head down the whole time:)

Food: My habits are reverting back to my first trimester habits. I feel lazy about food again and just eat whatever is easy. I would wake up hungry all the time. I have noticed I am starting to feel this way again. For example, I love Oatmeal and making a bowl of it with fruit and honey on top most every morning but lately I am just too lazy and think cereal is just so much faster. Haha sad I know. Still cant do avocados.
Exercise: Well I have been on vacation for the last two weeks so its been a little hard to get the gym but I have stayed active which is nice. I started back up at the gym again this week and it feels good. Still able to move around pretty good and I am so happy about that.
Other thoughts: Still wearing my wedding ring and that makes me really happy:) I made a list of what I would want at the hospital and I am going to start get the bag ready. Also my birthing plan is slowly coming along too. Next week we are going to visit the hospital we will be delivering at and that should be exciting but unreal at the same time. That's it for now!
