27 Weeks

This week I am 27 Week today and I am loving it. I cant really complain about being pregnant b/c its been pretty easy for me. Today was a great day. Went to the gym, eat a great breakfast, washed the car nice and clean, laid out in the sun, read my baby book, swam in the pool to cool off, and relaxed with a nice shower. I am lucky and blessed I don’t have to work and be all stressed!
Problems: Do my feet hurt or do they hurt? YES! At the end of the day my feet hurt pretty bad. I think its b/c I am 1. Heavier 2. I have loosened ligaments in my feet 3. My parents have hard tile floors that I walk on all the time bear foot. I need to keep my sandals on but even with them on my feet still hurt cause they are not super cushioned. I keep saying I need better shoes to support my feet around the house. I came home yesterday and there were a pair of sandal crocks in my room. My sweet dad bought me a pair for the house:) I started wearing them today and I think they will help lots. Love my dad. No other problems besides the feet.
Doctors:  I had a doctors appointment yesterday and all was good. I love hearing my babies heart beat and feeling him move. I am meeting with a midwife and I like her a lot. She is just nice and care about your opinion and thoughts. She is very helpful in answering my questions and explains things very well. I wish she could deliver my baby but its the luck of the draw with Kaiser. I will deliver down at Panorama City (30 mins away) and who every they have on shift at that time will be taking care of me. They have lots of doctors at that hospital and there will be a doctor, nurse, and a midwife on the floor at all times. I am pretty sure I am going to request whatever midwife is on shift to deliver instead of the doctor. Of course thats if everything goes good and there are no complications. I am thinking I want Norris, my mom, and maybe Norris' mom in the deliver room if they allow that many people. I need to sign up for a birthing class as well. So at my checkup yesterday my midwife and I figured out that I am 27 weeks instead of 25 weeks and 6 days. So its just 8 days earlier then I thought which is good I guess. So my due date would be Sept 29th. In the end it doesn't really matter b/c only 4% of expecting mothers give birth on the estimated due date. I am just shooting for a sept baby cause its sooner :) So next week I will be hitting the third trimester, yeah!
Movements: Stronger movement and in the last week or so I have been able to feel him up against my stomach. Its so neat. I feel it get all hard only in one little spot and know its the babies something pushing up against me:) Its fun to have other people feel too. Last week he did come up for about two day and it was super fun to have him up higher b/c I was able to see and feel all of his movements better. I can feel his movement when he is down low but its not very comfortable b/c he is always kicking my bladder. It was serious the cutest thing that happened the other night. Norris and I were watching a movie on night cuddling on the couch and the baby was sitting up higher in my stomach and he was seriously freaking out on the left side of my stomach and Norris just had his hand on my tummy and we were just laughing about it. He seemed to be doing turns, flips, serious kicks, and twitching. Then the baby stopped and all the sudden when Norris put his head on the right side on my stomach to rest the baby start to kick him right in the head, over and over again. He wouldn't stop either. Norris was talking into my tummy saying stop kicking me and he didnt. I was loving this. Its like the baby has its own personality already and he is playing with us.
Carrying: Still carrying low. They baby normally stays down low and sometimes will come up higher but then go back down quickly excepted for though few says last week.
Food: So I would eat a bag of popcorn at least once a week if not more. I love popcorn but since I have been pregnant I have not been in the mood for popcorn. I will look at popcorn and go nope don't want any. I cant wait to crave popcorn again. Guacamole, sick!!!! I think of it and its makes me kinda sick. I normally like it but that and avocados on things doesn't sound or taste good. They make my stomach turn up side down a little. I love love love fruit. Oh man I just want fruit and when I have it I could eat the whole bag of whatever it is. I went to Costco bought a huge thing of strawberries and grapes not even a week ago and they are already gone. I am 100% sure I am the one who eat them all too.
Exercise: Still feeling good to exercise. I didnt really get to much in the past two weeks b/c of our trip at Utah and then I got sick with a little cold last week and I just rested lots. But this week is good, I am feeling sore again and active with energy.

Serena's Wedding!

Serena's wedding was this weekend and it was a blast. I had so much fun that I caught a cold. I was just having to much fun and partying to much with like no sleep. Friday was the wedding day. I woke up super tired and had shannon curl my hair for me b/c I cant curl my own hair. I suck at it. Norris and I drove up to the Bountiful Temple and got there and waited for everyone to get there. Cameron’s family was there and ready but Serena and her family weren’t there yet. Serena showed up just in time and I got to see her walk in super excited and pretty! Then we were all brought up to the sealing room and waited for it to start. Serena came in with Cameron hand in hand. Serena was in her wedding dress and looked amazing. I loved her dress and her hair. She looked just as gorgeous as I had hoped and imagined, probably even better then i imagined her. :) The sealer talked for a while and then got very serious and gave them advice about living in everyday and being happy now not when school is over. There sealer was the Mr. Mac guy that owns the suit store in Provo. He was very nice and funny. I loved seeing all of her families faces and how happy they all were, especially her dad and mom. I bet its a great feeling for them b/c they had there entire family there, all there kids were in the temple with them. That has to be an amazing feeling and what a parent wishes for. Serena was laugh crying through the sealing and especially at the end when everyone were giving her hugs. She defiantly had to fix her makeup after while we waited for her to come out of the temple.

We all took picture after and waited till the lunch in started. Then we headed to the lunch in and eat good food and had fun sitting with Aaron, Nickell, Kade, Tadd, Brandon, and Janessa. We got to write notes/ advice to the bride and groom during lunch. I wrote something like kiss every time one of you walk in the door each day. Next we headed up to Cameron’s house to help get stuff for the reception. We got to the reception place and tired to set up. I helped with the flower. I cant believe we got everything done in time. I guess thats what happens when you have lots of siblings. It looked very fun and bright. I liked it.

Serena’s dad was pretty funny because he brought his dog, Buddy, and it came to everything. It kept getting out at the lunch in and Debbie was getting pretty mad. Warren loves that thing and wanted it in the family photo but everyone said NO! Norris and I were laughing about Warren and his dog like all day. Serena came a little later fluttered because she lost her purse. Someone left it at the temple and it was gone when they went back to get it. Cam and her had to go get a temporary license at the DMV for her so she could board her plane the next day. CRAZY. Well all worked out and the reception was great. We eat, hung out at a fun table, saw friends came, and watched the beautiful bride and her new hubby.

We got to see Jess & Harrison, Our friends the Potters, and Logan & Carly. The dancing came next and Serena was super happy. It got really really hot in there so I took breaks and sat outside with Kyle, Jaden and Norris. They weren’t up for dancing but it was fun to dance with Shannon, Serena, Serena's friends and family. Later they cut the cake and were nice and gentle feeding each other. I thought oh this is a sign that they will light never fight. We all slow dances. I love slow dancing with Norris he is good at it:) Then they did a money dance and Serena had money everywhere, haha she must have made bank. They did the garter and bouquet toss. It was funny cause Cam did a little dance around Serena before he went in for the garter. Serena and her dad got to dance together and it was very cute. Then came time to say good bye. I gave Serena a big huge and said i love you and your are beautiful. We all lined up outside with sparklers and cheered as they said good bye and drove off. We helped clean up just a little and left b/c i was exhausted. We came home to the Jensen’s and watched a good movie and Shannon and I were like the only ones that could stay awake.

It was a busy, crazy, fun, happy day. I told myself not to cry cause as soon as I did I knew I wouldn’t stop. So I held it together nicely. Serena and Cameron are really great for each other from what I can see. I love seeing Serena so happy.

B-day Post

So my b-day was last week and it was a great week of celebration. First celebration was on Sunday with Norris family. His mother made a great meal and a amazing chocolate strawberry cake. Then Tuesday the celebration continued with my family. We went out to eat and I choose Mimi's Cafe. I have not eaten there in forever. It was great and we came home and had cake and presents. Then came my actual b-day on thursday and we were in Utah staying at Shannon and Kyles house. I first got a call from one of my best friends, Brittany Large, saying happy b-day and it was so nice of her. That morning Shannon, Jaden (baby), Norris and I went up the canyon to hike. What better way to spend my b-day doing something I love. Shannon and Norris said you would want to hike on ur b-day and i said yup! It was pretty and fun. Norris got a good work out b/c he got to hold Jaden in his arms and on his head:)

Its seriously so pretty up in Utah right now. Now you can see why I would want to go on a hike for my b-day:)

Next Shannon and I got ready and went to lunch at Zupas with Lindsey
They give you a chocolate covered strawberry with ur meal:) Yumm my favorite

I got the Berry Summer Salad

Next Shannon and I went to get our toe nails done and shop a little.

I picked this color b/c it was one of Serena's color for her wedding, Pretty!

Next Norris and I went to Aaron and Nickell's to meet Serena and her family for dinner before we headed to the temple. Serena got her endownments out at the Provo Temple and this is after. I was so proud of her and it was a great gift to see her so happy:)

This is my a pic from my family singing happy b-day to me:)

Overall it was a great day/week. I enjoyed the family and friends I got to spend it with.

Week 24

So this week i am 24 weeks and just thought i would update some things going on at 24 weeks.
-Still no name for this little guys
-Problems: Have had Acid Reflex at night while sleeping for about four weeks now and finally got some medicine to help me sleep better. I still get it a little but not even close to what it was before. Sleeping is hard sometimes. I wake once a night to pee but i am tossing and turning either from acid reflex, norris sleep talking, the computer making noise, finding myself sleeping on my back, or leg cramps. I am getting use to it now and adapting but some nights are harder than others.
-Doctors: Finally meet with a midwife last night for a check up and loved her. I was so impressed by the way she took time to answer our questions and not rush us. She really explained things well and asked us question as well. The last visit i had with the doctor, he just gave me two word answers and didnt explain anything even when i tired to have him expound.
-Movements: The babies movement are very random. Sometimes the movements are small little twitches and other times they are big punches or turns. I cant really tell where this guy is most of the time but lately he has been hanging out pretty low in my tummy. I felt him kick my bladder for the first time last week and now he doesn't stop. It doesn't bug unless i have to pee. Also I felt him kick my butt just yesterday and let me tell you that was a little weird. A friend asked me not to long ago if i felt that yet and i said no. My friend said well its super weird just wait and yup she was right.
-Carrying: I am carrying low now. I think it might be because i have a long torso i dont really know though. I always heard that boys carry low and girls carry high but everyone is different.
-Food: I do not have to eat every two hours anymore. I can have three meals a day again and have little snack in between and i am just fine:) that makes me happy. It was such a pain to be hungry all the time and to have to worry about food.
-Exercise: I try to exercise every week day and rest on the weekends. I am so glad i have energy and strength to exercise. I always feel better after. I go to Zumba, Kickboxing, Body Works, Spin, Yoga, and lift weights. I enjoy lifting and try to keep the weight light, not pushing it too hard, but do high reps of 12-15 or more, depending on the exercise. I also do abs about three or more times a week. I think its so important to keep you core strong during pregnancy. I will be sad when my stomach has stretched so much that it hurts to do abs and i can no longer do them. Your stomach needs stability and strength not only to help carry a baby but to deliver the baby as well.

Well this week is my b-day and i will be 24 years old. Some guy at the gym asked if i was over 18 this morning and i laughed thinking i am turning 24 dude! I guess its good to look young but not really while you pregnant. This will be the fourth year i will be in Utah for my b-day. We are leaving tomorrow to Utah for my best friend Serena Blair's wedding. I am exciting and cant think of a better way to celebrate my b-day with her and being able to see her go through the temple for the first time:)

Things I Miss

So there are some things I am missing about Utah. I know I know its weird of me to be saying this because I always said when i was there i cant wait to get back home to Cali. I wanted to write them down so i remember them and remember why i liked living in Provo.
 I miss:
- the Green Green hills and trees this time of year
- Being able to go on a great hike and only traveling 5 mins to get there
- The shady trees in Utah
- The ward and the people in our ward (Provo 3rd Ward, North Park Stake
-Sundays seeing all our friends and there kids, especially during sacrament
-Our ward great choir and singer in that ward, every Sunday was like a concert with Brother Bush playing the organ and people singing loud and bright.
- My calling and working with sister Rentz
- The classes at the gym, especially Kara Sworenson's Power Pump class. The classes were full of energy and great workouts. The classes at LA Fitness are just ok with there workout routines and dont have that much energy besides Zumba
- The great testimony meetings. There was a line most week and hardly a break or awkward pause in between testimonies.
- I defiantly miss my girls and bachelor/ bachelorette night. I miss talking with them about the silly girls and boys and who we like and dont like and stay up late talking about girl stuff and babies. I miss there opinions and laugh's.
- My job as a personal trainer up there especially at the weight loss camp. That was a fun easy job working with a variety of different people.
- Denny's and or IHOP runs with our friends along with Waffle dinners at shannon and kyles house.
-Norris and I surprisingly had more time to spend together (just the two of us) up in Utah. Dont get me wrong we are less busy without school but we are always with family and doing different things that we really dont get alone time anymore. We haven’t really gone on a date with just each other in a while. I kinda miss that but then again i am glad we dont just have only each other now. If that all makes sense.
-The awesome bread that i would get from bountiful baskets
-Cheap gas
-My Tucanos friends: Kevin, Fiona, Dustin, Blake, Pat, Amanda, Trevor
-The closeness of the temples there in Utah and how full they always were
-The fast and cheaper restaurants. I always thought Utah sucked when it came to food but they head lots of fast quick places close by to get food. Her in Cali they have great Mexican places and good sit down restaurants but not a lot of places to grab and go besides wendys, in&out, Panda, and Pizza.
-The education and accessibility i had to education. There were always classes and great learning opportunities. If i wanted to take a class and learn her i dont even know where to go.
-Provo always had a even going on in the community. Lots of community/ family events. Here there probably are but i dont know about them.
-My girl friends ( i think i already said that) Shannon, Lindsey, Jessica, Shari, Hannah, Melinda,
- I miss that area because there were so many girls and families i could relate to. Everyone was just having kids or just got married starting there lives. Her everyone is older and the almost empty nester stage of life. Hard to relate to people out her i can only hear of other peoples experiences of when they went through what i am going through.
I dont miss:
-The crazy spiders that would always come out in our apt and only bite me in the summer time.
-The crazy weather there, cold/hot/snowing/thunder storms/unpredictable
-Not having family around/ being only norris and i on Sundays
-The crazy allergies i would get at certain times of the year
-Slow speed limits/ college drivers
-Construction EVERYWHERE
-The pressure of school
