So this week i am 24 weeks and just thought i would update some things going on at 24 weeks.
-Still no name for this little guys
-Problems: Have had Acid Reflex at night while sleeping for about four weeks now and finally got some medicine to help me sleep better. I still get it a little but not even close to what it was before. Sleeping is hard sometimes. I wake once a night to pee but i am tossing and turning either from acid reflex, norris sleep talking, the computer making noise, finding myself sleeping on my back, or leg cramps. I am getting use to it now and adapting but some nights are harder than others.
-Doctors: Finally meet with a midwife last night for a check up and loved her. I was so impressed by the way she took time to answer our questions and not rush us. She really explained things well and asked us question as well. The last visit i had with the doctor, he just gave me two word answers and didnt explain anything even when i tired to have him expound.
-Movements: The babies movement are very random. Sometimes the movements are small little twitches and other times they are big punches or turns. I cant really tell where this guy is most of the time but lately he has been hanging out pretty low in my tummy. I felt him kick my bladder for the first time last week and now he doesn't stop. It doesn't bug unless i have to pee. Also I felt him kick my butt just yesterday and let me tell you that was a little weird. A friend asked me not to long ago if i felt that yet and i said no. My friend said well its super weird just wait and yup she was right.
-Carrying: I am carrying low now. I think it might be because i have a long torso i dont really know though. I always heard that boys carry low and girls carry high but everyone is different.
-Food: I do not have to eat every two hours anymore. I can have three meals a day again and have little snack in between and i am just fine:) that makes me happy. It was such a pain to be hungry all the time and to have to worry about food.
-Exercise: I try to exercise every week day and rest on the weekends. I am so glad i have energy and strength to exercise. I always feel better after. I go to Zumba, Kickboxing, Body Works, Spin, Yoga, and lift weights. I enjoy lifting and try to keep the weight light, not pushing it too hard, but do high reps of 12-15 or more, depending on the exercise. I also do abs about three or more times a week. I think its so important to keep you core strong during pregnancy. I will be sad when my stomach has stretched so much that it hurts to do abs and i can no longer do them. Your stomach needs stability and strength not only to help carry a baby but to deliver the baby as well.
Well this week is my b-day and i will be 24 years old. Some guy at the gym asked if i was over 18 this morning and i laughed thinking i am turning 24 dude! I guess its good to look young but not really while you pregnant. This will be the fourth year i will be in Utah for my b-day. We are leaving tomorrow to Utah for my best friend Serena Blair's wedding. I am exciting and cant think of a better way to celebrate my b-day with her and being able to see her go through the temple for the first time:)
You are ADORABLE!!! Hugs!
